Our Salix Purpurea (Cohu Blue) was a bit branchy the first year we planted it but it has given us lovely rods in subsequent years. Our bees love the catkins which makes it a very useful willow for our environment as well as for basketry and ornamental (floristry) projects.

The Cohu Blue rods dry to a grey colour. In our willow bed, it grows to about 7 feet.
