Workshop Overview
Willow is natural, sustainable and widely available. The willow you will be using is actually grown and harvested on our farm. A beautiful, hand crafted Willow Wreath is the perfect eco-friendly statement piece for the home. Gill will show you how to create your wreath form. She will introduce you to the craft of willow work as well as sharing her knowledge about the cultivation and use of willow throughout history. You will leave the workshop with your very own willow wreath, for any season.

What You Will Learn
During this workshop, you will:
- Learn how to handle willow tools safely and correctly;
- Learn to handle willow safely;
- Discuss the way in which willow is prepared for wreath work;
- Use simple weaving techniques to create a wreath form; and
- Discuss the care of your Willow Wreath so that it gives you many years of pleasure.
What You Will Take Home
At the end of this workshop, you will take home between one and three Willow Wreath (depending on size).

The Rural Skills Centre will provide:
- All materials and equipment to make your Willow Wreath will be provided;
- Tea/Coffee and lots of cake;
- Lunch (let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements);
- Parking; and
- Accessible facilities.
