Our Salix Purpurea (Packing Twine) is very popular with my City and Guilds students at Westhope College. I call it a well behaved willow. It provides long beautiful light/mid green rods in our willow beds, reaching heights between 2ft-8ft. As well as for basketry, we use Packing Twine for living willow structures, particularly the Living Lattice trees.

It is also very useful for frames.
