Collection only, from Rural Skills Centre Cardiff
Having run workshops on creating an afternoon tea, we are launching our take away version. Your afternoon tea will include delicate, tasty sandwiches, homemade savoury pastries, scones with Cornish clotted cream and homemade jam, a selection of homemade cakes and a lemon panna cotta. We will even include the milk and tea bags, all you need is hot water.
Interesting facts… it was the Duchess of Bedford, Anna Maria Russell who introduced afternoon tea. A fashionable practice in high society for those who wanted something to eat between their light mid-day lunch and their late evening dinner. It also provided an opportunity for ladies of the house to use (and show off) their beautiful china.
Standard Afternoon Tea includes: Sandwiches (Ham and mustard, Egg and mayonnaise, Cucumber and soft cheese, and Tuna); Homemade Savoury Pastries (Bacon and cheese puff; and Sausage Roll); Homemade Scone with homemade jam and Cornish clotted cream; Homemade Dessert (Lemon panna cotta); Homemade Cakes (Carrot cake; Battenberg; Lemon Polenta Cake; and Chocolate Brownie); along with Tea Pig tea bags and fresh milk.
Please note the following allergens are present: wheat, soya, dairy, eggs, fish, mustard and nuts (walnuts and almonds).
